B&J BIOSYN® SOLVENTS

Production of synthetic DNA and RNA has evolved into a highly sophisticated science, resulting in demand for high purity, low water content solvents. Burdick & Jackson BioSyn solvents are specifically processed and tested for these challenging applications. Large quantities of solvents are used in DNA synthesis, making it critical to reduce impurities to extremely low levels. Burdick & Jackson continually analyzes and characterizes these impurities to enhance the purification process and eliminate them from its BioSyn low water content solvents.

B&J BIOSYN® DNA REAGENTS

Using in-house synthesis capabilities, Burdick & Jackson developed BioSyn DNA Reagents, which are processed and purified for scientists performing oligonucleotide synthesis and designed to facilitate direct connection to popular DNA synthesizers. All Burdick & Jackson DNA Reagents are processed to exacting specifications, ensuring the highest synthesis efficiency. They are also passed through a 0.2 micron filter during packaging to eliminate particulate contamination. Burdick & Jackson continually expands its DNA reagent line to accommodate new instruments and chemistries.

B&J ACS/HPLC CERTIFIED SOLVENTS

Burdick & Jackson's ACS/HPLC certified solvents are ideal for HPLC analysis, organic synthesis and spectrophotometry applications. This line offers unmatched lot-to-lot consistency and product certification that meets ACS standards through careful material selection and processing. To ensure the highest quality end product, Burdick & Jackson supplements standard ACS analysis with its own internal stringent quality control.

B&J LABORATORY PLUS

The new Laboratory Plus solvent line is tested and certified to meet or exceed ACS General Use specifications. Laboratory Plus solvents provide excellent value for applications such as isocratic and preparative scale HPLC, specialty organic synthesis and precision cleaning. To reduce the risk of interference related to solvent contamination, these solvents have high assay, low residue and minimal lot-to-lot variations.

B&J GC 2 ® SOLVENTS

B&J GC 2 Solvents are developed for trace analysis at or below the part-per-billion level, using capillary gas chromatography. Samples of every GC 2 solvent are concentrated 1000-fold and tested by temperature programmed capillary GC-FID. This analysis detects both low-boiling and high-boiling molecules, anything eluting from toluene through diesel fuel and other semi-volatile compounds of environmental interest.

B&J PURIFIED PLUS® CERTIFIED SOLVENTS

Simply screening raw materials and repackaging batches that happen to meet ACS specifications frequently causes wide fluctuations in solvent quality. For this reason, Burdick & Jackson carefully processes every B&J Purified Plus Certified solvent. Purified Plus Certified solvents allow lab process scale up without encountering lot-to-lot variations and decrease issues traceable to solvent contamination. Greater lot-to-lot consistency also saves significant time and expense by reducing the need for method modifications when changing solvent lots.

B&J ANHYDROUS SOLVENTS

Burdick & Jackson Anhydrous Solvents are specifically manufactured for moisture-sensitive applications. Their water content ranges from less than 10ppm to less than 50ppm with low residue eliminating the need for extra purification and drying steps in customers' labs. This line is packaged in specially designed septum-sealed bottles to maintain low water content and ensure product integrity. Convenient packaging features a double closure, which includes an easy-slip-on vinyl cap with Teflon® liner and screw-on phenolic cap with 18mm hole.
